ASI Wins NFIP Flood Award
St. Petersburg, FL (May 4, 2011) - ASI was awarded the 2010 Administrator's Club Award at the 2011 National Flood Conference (NFC). The conference took place in New Orleans, from May 1 through May 4, 2011.
The Administrator's Club Award goes to flood insurance companies selling and servicing federally backed flood insurance that have achieved significant growth in new policies. Winners are divided into five groups (A-E) and each group represents a policy base threshold. ASI was the winner in the Group B category representing companies with 15,000-74,000 policies in force. ASI has already outgrown Group B status and has been elevated to Group A for the coming year.
ASI has a Best's Rating of A- (Excellent) with a "positive" outlook. Today, the Florida-based company has more than $600 million direct premiums written and $325 million in policyholder surplus. The company actively writes homeowners and flood in 14 states, and has an aggressive plan to offer products to 79% of the U.S. homeowner population by year-end, 2012.
